It has been a busy couple of months around Suzie Health Solutions. Between ending an enrollment period for health insurance, a quick vacation, the school year started. When you have a small business then you can reclaim time and dedicate it to the family. Freedom is important to us. It takes planning however this is how we did it all with dealing with COVID. You have to decide what your values are.

Covid Special Health Insurance Enrollment ends August 15th

As one of the 11 Enrollment Centers, we have seen a lot of enrollments since March of 2020. Healthcare and Medicare can be tricky and we do what we can to make it simple and usable. 

Thanks to the American Rescue Plan, we had an extended healthcare enrollment. It ran from February 15^th through August 15^th. We run 1 of the 11 enrollment centers in Washington State. Did people enroll in healthcare? What did people find? What does a plan cost after the big change?

 

October 15th Medicare Annual Enrollment Period starts for plans that start in 2022.

November 1st Healthcare Open Enrollment begins for plans that start in 2022. 

Yes, we have been taking appointments for a few months. 

How are Insurance Brokers, Navigators & Enrollment Centers paid

Suzie Health Solutions is an Enrollment Center for the Washington Healthplanfinder. Where we assist everyone walk in our door with healthcare and other insurance plans. We don’t charge fees so we are going to answer the questions on how we get paid. If you have ever wondered what it is like to run an small business then you will want to listen in.

Stop being nice to COVID and the unvaccinated

We are essential workers helping enroll people into healthcare all through last year and up to August 15. It's time to talk about delta, lambda, covid passports to Canada and employers. Yes, after all the lotteries and freedoms it is time to hand the country over to the adults in the room and finish it. Being a small business, we don't want to go through masks again without support from law enforcement. We want passports from the Government to make it easy. It is time to move on with actions and not just words.

New tax in Washington State January for Long Term Care.

At Suzie Health Solutions, we are the  enrollment center located in Wenatchee, WA. We get asked a lot of insurance questions. If you have not heard. Long term care in Washington State is changing this year. There are W2 employees will be looking at a new tax come January for something they might not be able to use or want.

Running the Enrollment Center (www.wahbroker.org) , we meet a ton of small businesses. One thing is for certain is that more folks need to be cheering or if they can lend a hand coaching. Suzie calls them “projects”.

I ran into one this week that a decade ago I got money into his hand for school because I wanted to build a business with him. We went our separate ways but he wanted to repay me.
